CACI Hires Lewis Cornett to Direct Memphis Operations
Arlington, Va., January 26, 1998 - CACI International Inc (Nasdaq: CACI) today announced the appointment of Lewis Cornett as Vice President and Director of CACIs Memphis Operations. Cornett will be the senior manager in the companys newly opened Memphis, Tennessee office, supporting CACIs systems reengineering and development efforts for the Naval Reserve Information Systems Office (NRISO) and the Navy Bureau of Personnel (BUPERS).
CACI is supporting NRISO and BUPERS information systems using its award-winning RENovateSM methodology as a cornerstone to revamping and improving manpower and personnel systems for the Navy and Defense Department. Cornett will work closely with CACIs New Orleans office to expand and enhance these efforts.
Recently retired after 42 years of military and civilian federal service, Cornett most recently served as Director, Information Systems Department, Enlisted Personnel Management Center (EPMAC), New Orleans, Louisiana, a position he had held since 1982. From 1955 to 1981, he served in the U.S. Navy at various sea and shore commands.
Throughout his career, Cornett has earned numerous awards and provided recognized leadership for both the Department of Navy and the New Orleans community. In 1989, under his management, EPMAC was chosen Public Sector Employer of the Year as a result of its employment of the disabled and Cornetts support and promotion of their talents. This continued support also won him honors as 1992 Federal Manager of the Year, as awarded by the Federal Executive Board, New Orleans, Louisiana. His departments participation in such equal opportunity efforts enhanced the Commands image and contributed to the numerous accolades received from Navy and civilian officials, including the Governor of Louisiana, several Louisiana state and national representatives, and Navy officials from the local and Washington, DC areas.
